Pungan Ennai also called as Pongame Oil in English is the extract of Pungan Tree Seeds prepared using Cold Pressed Machine. Pongame Oil Seeds are dried well, removed their shells and then put into Maracheckku for extracting the Oil. It is being used as a Pooja Oil and also for the preparation of various Siddha and Ayurveda Medicines.

It is also called as Karanj in Tamil, Indian Beech in English, Korang in Hindi, Punga in Malayalam, Honge Gida in Kannada, Ganuga in Telugu, Karanja in Sansrit. Its Botanical Name is Pongamia Glabra.
