Marikolundhu also called as Marjoram in English is a small plant currently cultivated by many farmers in India. It is used for preparing its scent from those leaves. Its leaves are dried well, ground into very fine powder, and then it is filtered to make it free from unground leaves. It is being used by our people long long ago.

Its other names in Tamil are Thamanakantham, Marukozhundhu. It is called as Marjoram in English, Kozhunna in Malayalam, Davana in Kannada, Davanamu in Telugu, Murwa or Sathra in Hindi. Its Botanical Name is Aristalochia Labiosa.
