Malaivembu also called as Chinaberry is a kind of Vembu usually grows in India and Persian Countries. It is slightly different from ordinary Vembu in appearance and also in its properties. Its leaves are available online as fresh undried leaves. It is being used by our people since ancient days.
It is called as Common Bead Tree or Chinaberry in English, Bakayan in Hindi, Konda Veppa in Telugu, Malai Veppu in Malayalam, Chikka Bevu in Kannada. It is called as Parvata Nimba in Sanskrit. Its Botanical name is Melia Azedarach.
