Karuvelamaram also called as Mesquite in English is a tree grows even in hot temperatures and with out water for a long time. Karuvelam Pisin or Mesquite Gum is the natural stem extract from Karuvelam Tree. The stem resin of the plant stem, coming out naturally are dried out, collected carefully and cleaned. It is being used by our ancestors since thousands of years ago.

It is called as Mesquite in English, Babul in Hindi, Nallatumma, Tumma, Tuma in Telugu, Karivelam in Malayalam, Gobli Mara, Karijali in Kannada, Bavaliyo in Gujarathi. Its Botanical Name is Prosophis Juliflora.
