Karpooravalli or Omavalli is a small plant having fleshy leaves along with soft stems which grows in water rich crop fields. Its leaves along with stem are dried well, ground into very fine powder and available online as Karpooravalli Powder. It is being used by our ancestors since ancient days for various medicinal purposes.

It is called as Ajwain Leaf, Indian Borage in English, Patta Ajwain, Patherchur in Hindi, Vaamu Aku, Suganthavalkam in Telugu, Panikkurkka in Malayalam, Saviara Sambara, Doddapatre Soppu in Kannada. Its Botanical Names are Coleus Amboinicus, Plectranthus Amboinicus.
