Amman Pacharisi also called as Chithira Paladai in Tamil is a creeper plant which grows in all places of India. The complete plant is taken, dried well, ground into very fine powder. It is then filtered to make it free from unground plant parts. It is being used by our ancestors since ancient days.

It is also called as Snake Weed, Asthma Weed in English, Dudhi in Hindi and in Marathi, Akkigida in Kannada, Cherucheera or Nilapala in Malayalam, Reddivari Nanubalu in Telugu, Barokarna in Bengali. Its Botanical Name is Euphorbia Hirta.
