Avarai is a small plant that grows in road sides and in hill stations. Its Pisin also called as Stem Resin is carefully collected, dried well and available online as raw material. It is being used by our ancient Siddhars in making various herbal medicines. 

It is called as Senna Gum in English, Tarwar Resin in Hindi, Tagedu in Telugu, Tangedi in Kannada, Avaram in Malayalam. Its Botanical Names are Senna Auriculata, and Cassia Auriculata.
